In order for Dive to work, it requires some basic personal information. When you register an account with Dive, your email address, username, pictures, and selected interests are stored with Dive. Your email address is not shared with any other users but may be used by Dive for administrative purposes and is used to login to your account. Your username and profile picture will be displayed to other users and should be considered public.

Interests are also used to find other users and places nearby. Other users will see what interests you both have in common.

When using Dive, your location will be sent to Dive and used to find nearby people. Dive will never send your location to other users, advertisers or third parties.

Your interactions with other users (including messages and your block list) will not be shared with any other users or third parties but may be used by Dive for administrative purposes.

All traffic sent through Dive is sent via HTTPS and encrypted.

Dive only accesses you're location information when the app is active and you are logged in.

If you do not log out of Dive, you will remain 'discoverable' for approximately 15 after you leave the app.

Dive uses push notifications to quickly notify you of new messages (and nothing else). It is recommend to keep these on for the best experience.

You can turn off the splash sound within the settings.

The illustrations in Dive were drawn by Alexandr Bakanov.
